“The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Is. 61:3

Clothes are an expression of our personalities.  Everyone dresses a little bit differently.  We all have our own style.  Jesus provides us with spiritual clothes.  If we choose to wear the clothes He gives to us, we declare who we are in Him.  Isaiah 61 is a powerful prophecy of Jesus Christ.  It provides us with the reason why Jesus came.  He desires to take the spirit of heaviness from us.  There are so many things in our world that are heavy: unpaid bills, sickness, disease, broken relationships and death. The list goes on and on.  However, there is no despair that our loving Savior can’t lift from us.  Not only will He take the spirit of heaviness, He will replace it with a garment of praise.  Walk in praise, allow others to see the love and adoration we have for our Savior who has graciously paid the price for all of our sins.  What are you wearing and walking in today, heaviness or praise?
